Weekend Away 2000 4. - 6. 8. 2000 This year we visited Riquewihr, a romantic little village in the Alsace (The Elsass).      

After an evening of good fun,    good talk, and moderate to heavy    drinking (for some) the crowd met     at 10 a.m., ready for a hike     through the vineyards and forests    of France.    This picture shows the group in     front of the restaurant (and the     hotel) we stayed in.    Note how all pretend to be glad of     having to walk for hours.

Here we climb down through a wasp infested area to the "Auberge La Clausmatt" for some refreshments, only to learn that they do not serve alcoholic beverages - a big disappointment !

  And now, first things first: LUNCH (and BEER)

  On Sunday we went to COLMAR:  

"Maison Pfister"  - famous building	ASS Members - not so famous persons
Close to "Little Venice"	Flower arrangements
"THE" Tourist spot !	Nice Sign, one of many !
